This Season’s Vino
Every Tavola+Vino box features a bottle of Cantine Lunae’s Auxo red wine, a masterful blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Ciliegiolo grapes that beautifully captures the essence of Ligurian terroir.
This wine offers a bouquet of cherries in alcohol, ripe strawberries, and plums, with undertones of sweet cocoa, pipe tobacco, and a subtle hint of violet petals and blood orange.
It’s a wine that begs to be savored, pairing beautifully with this season’s pasta and pesto.
Italian Olivewood Bruschetta Board
This Italian Olivewood Charcuterie Board with Rope Handle brings a rustic elegance to any charcuterie spread or kitchen display. The rich, dramatic graining showcases the natural beauty of the wood, while the sturdy rope handle offers both style and practicality. Expertly crafted from solid, boldly grained olivewood sustainably sourced in Italy, this board is as functional as it is beautiful.
Pure Stagioni Fig Jam
Liguria’s climate is perfect for fig cultivation, making this fruit a star in the region’s culinary traditions. Fresh figs are often paired with local cheeses or baked into classic Ligurian desserts. Fig trees symbolize protection and good fortune in Liguria. Pure Stagioni’s fig jam is crafted from figs harvested at their peak, capturing the essence of this cherished fruit. Spread on warm toast, pair with soft cheese, or add to cakes and sweets.
Petricor Taggiasca Olives
Taggiasca olives have been cultivated for centuries in Liguria’s terraced groves, playing a vital role in the region’s culinary heritage, especially in the production of renowned Ligurian olive oils. These small, flavorful olives are prized by chefs worldwide. Petricor hand-selects, harvests, and processes their olives on the same day, fermenting them in brine with thyme and bay leaves to craft a true delicacy.
Agnoni Artichoke Cream
We’re captivated by the rich and tangy artichoke spread from Agnoni, crafted from the tender hearts of the famed vegetable. This velvety spread, made with Agnoni’s extra virgin olive oil and a touch of vinegar for brightness, is all-natural and deeply flavorful. Spread it on warm bruschetta topped with Parmigiano Reggiano, or use it as a sauce for pasta. Agnoni, a family-owned company, continues to uphold its values of respecting the land, creating simple, all-natural products, and preserving traditional flavors. Specializing in preserved vegetables and jams, they bring decades-old family recipes to life in every jar.
Linguette Crackers
Linguette, or “little tongues” in Italian, are a delightful fusion of flatbread and cracker, named for their unique shape. Handcrafted and double-baked, these crispbreads achieve an airy, crispy texture that makes them a perfect companion for cheese, truffle dips, and a full antipasti spread. Flavored with aromatic rosemary, this variety harks back to Ligurian traditions, where it was once crafted from leftover dough to create a more enduring flatbread.
Ligurian Basil Pesto
Immerse yourself in the vibrant flavors of the Italian Riviera with this rich, basil-packed pasta sauce. Made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Genovese Basil DOP, Grana Padano Cheese, pine nuts, salt, and garlic, this pesto captures the essence of freshly-made perfection. Crafted by Ciacco, a boutique producer from Carrù near Alba—a city renowned for its culinary heritage—each batch is meticulously prepared using cherished local ingredients and traditional recipes. Indulge in the true taste of Liguria with every spoonful.
Allemandi Croxetti Pasta
Croxetti pasta, hailing from the Ligurian region around Genoa, is a distinctive relic from the Middle Ages. Once a symbol of status among Ligurian nobility, Croxetti were custom-engraved with family crests and served at grand celebrations. This traditional pasta, crafted by Allemandi Pastificio for our Ligurian box, continues to honor its storied past with every exquisite bite.
Italian Pear Ice Candies
In the heart of Genoa, the renowned candy store Romagneno delights with its exquisite fruit candies and elegantly packaged chocolates. Chef Enrica concludes each of her cooking classes with espresso and small bowls of these candies, a tradition now yours to enjoy. While Romagneno’s confections aren’t available in the US, Sugarfina’s pear-flavored ice candies evoke the essence of Genoa with every bite.
