Day One

On the first day of your journey in Bologna, Italy, the group will gather in the hotel lobby in the afternoon for a warm welcome meeting. This is where you’ll have the chance to connect with your tour host, Olivia, and fellow travelers and receive essential information about the upcoming days.

Following the welcome meeting, the afternoon and evening will unfold with a leisurely exploration of the local area on a walking food tour. We’ll stroll through the nearby streets with a local guide who will introduce us to the rich variety of local flavors. You’ll get a sampling of authentic dishes at various local eateries, immersing yourself in the gastronomic culture of Emilia-Romagna.

Day Two

We’ll kick off the day by immersing ourselves in the hustle and bustle of a lively local market, selecting fresh ingredients, and sampling a few here and there that will soon transform into a delicious feast during our cooking class. Our morning begins with a visit to a Parmigiano Reggiano farm and factory, where you’ll witness the process behind this iconic cheese through an educational tour and delicious cheese samplings. We’ll start at the very beginning by visiting the cows on the farm and end up in the factory filled with rows and rows of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese wheels. We’ll also enjoy a leisurely lunch, savoring the flavors of the area with the Lini family.

As we continue our journey, take some time for yourself upon arrival. Whether you choose to explore the surroundings or simply unwind, the afternoon is yours until we gather again as a group and get an introduction to the beautiful property, setting the stage for an evening of delight.

We’ll end the evening with a group dinner, where culinary craftsmanship and regional flavors come together. It’s an evening to savor the essence of Piedmont, surrounded by good company and the beauty of the countryside.

Day Five

We’ll start the day with tastings at wineries. From crisp whites to robust reds, let the flavors of the vineyards paint a vibrant picture of the area’s winemaking prowess. You’ll get to learn more about the local varietals and taste first hand the differentiators between the two different regions we visit – Emilia Romagna and Piedmont. We’ll learn more about the Piedmont region and its dedication to gastronomy and high-quality producers, and how it is known for being the birthplace of the slow food movement.

In the afternoon, we’ll return to our picturesque accommodations and relish some well-deserved free time. Whether you choose to wander through the charming grounds, take in the scenic beauty, or simply unwind in your room, the choice is yours.

As the day gently winds down, we’ll come together for a group farewell dinner. The evening promises to be a celebration of the culinary highlights and shared moments of the trip.
