Origin Story
Why we started Dalla Fonte
The flavors, the experiences, and the people of Italy made us feel alive. Each trip to Italy meant a suitcase full of smuggled food and wine to share with loved ones back home in Seattle and recreate “la dolce vita” (the sweet life) around the kitchen table.
Dalla Fonte was born from our desire to share these Italian experiences beyond our own dinner table and help everyone capture the magic of Italy in their own homes.
Meet the Founders
Olivia Becker
Olivia was raised outside of Seattle, WA where she lives today with her husband, four kids and two dogs. Her life was changed when she travelled to Italy for the first time as a recent high school graduate. Always seeking the Mediterranean, she would find herself returning as often as possible both for work and for pleasure.
Her early career led to a maritime company in La Spezia where she learned that working with Italians is as adventurous as dining with them. After years in management consulting, she has pivoted to a life filled with more wine and biscotti.
When not at home with family, Olivia dreams of sitting on the patio of her friend’s home in Trebiano gazing over the hills at the Ligurian coast.
Mike BeckeR
Mike was born and raised in New York City, the only real place to enjoy pizza outside of Italy.
His childhood home in Rockaway Beach overflowed with generations of family, platters of food, and the good kind of noise. The cook of the family, Michael keeps the Sunday Gravy tradition alive back home in Seattle, scouring local markets for just the right ingredients to delight his family and friends.
Mike’s career in IT has taken him all over the world. His partnerships in Italy showed him that real work is done over espresso and wine. His happy place is the port town of Lerici where he can swim in the delicious waters of Golfo dei Poeti before enjoying a meal in the piazza. When he is at home in Seattle, you can find him cooking a meal, cruising the waters of Lake Washington, and spending time with loved ones.

Everything we do at Dalla Fonte is built on the experiences we have collected after years of travelling to Italy. We pride ourselves on exploring the roads and places less travelled and finding authentic experiences that honor local culture and tradition. Our greatest joy is sharing these stories with others.
