Partnering with The Table Less Traveled

With similar love and passion for “la dolce vita”, The Table Less Traveled was founded by Annie Sim to create the kind of travel we cherish – built on friendship, focused on food, and in honor of local traditions. Together, we are partnering to bring you the complete Italian experience – food and wine staples for those times you are at home and curated adventures for those times you can explore.

Dalla Fonte was launched to bring the flavors and culture of our ancestral home directly to our members because we can’t always be in Italy, but we can create that Italian experience around our own tables through food and wine.

But what about those times that we CAN be in Italy – who can we trust to build the most incredible experience? For us, that answer is The Table Less Traveled.

With similar love and passion for “la dolce vita”, TTLT was founded by Annie Sim to create the kind of travel we cherish – built on friendship, focused on food, and in honor of local tradition.

Annie Cheng Sim, Founder of The Table Less Traveled

Launched in 2015, Annie created The Table Less Traveled as a way to stand against the commoditization of travel and cuisine. Instead of adding to the well-worn tracks of tourist attractions, she invites people to try a more meaningful way to explore. Through interactive experiences, authentic global recipes, local chefs, and small group sizes, The Table Less Traveled helps people get a better taste of what the world has to offer.

At The Table Less Traveled and Dalla Fonte, we strive to provide a deeper appreciation for destinations around the world whether that’s through insider travel recommendations, exclusive trips experiences, or authentic Italian products developed according to local tradition.

With similar visions and goals, a partnership seemed like the perfect match.

What does this partnership mean for you?

– Access to the best Italian travel guides and consultants. TTLT offers several trips each year to Italy and also Japan, Malaysia, and Peru as well as consulting services to advise you on your dream adventure.

– Opportunities to put your Dalla Fonte products to good use during TTLT’s online classes. We will be providing our favorite Italian wines, aperitivo snacks, and pantry staples to enjoy as a part of TTLT’s Community Cooking Classes. Join our mailing list and follow along on Instagram to learn more about when these classes will be available!

– Future Dalla Fonte + TTLT travel experiences. This is very exciting for us here at Dalla Fonte! Stay tuned for trips that we plan together to visit Dalla Fonte featured producers and favorite locations.

To celebrate our launch, we are releasing a limited run of an exclusive Tavola and Tavola + Vino box of Dalla Fonte member favorites and TTLT traveler picks from their Heart of Italy food tour.

We are thrilled about the possibilities ahead and can’t wait to share as our partnership grows and expands.

Cheers!

A little more about The Table Less Traveled

We are people people.
From the chefs and local partners we work with to our community of travelers, foodies, and home chefs, The Table Less Traveled brings people together through shared experiences. Our founder, Annie Sim, realized that although standing at the top of the Acropolis was awe-inspiring, the memories she held onto and the moments that shaped her were always around a table with friends, loved ones, or strangers…one less traveled by.

We prioritize quality and integrity.
We 100% support local partners – the heart of a place and its culture. Quality of experiences has always been rooted in being genuine. We share with each traveler – whether in person or virtually – the real experiences and lives of our local partners. We maintain cultural integrity as we cultivate recipes with local chefs to bring global cuisines to your kitchen. Food is a conduit to conversation and opens doors to cultural interactions that can change the way we all connect, think, and live together.

We are insiders.
People often ask how Annie met our friends, because the local partners and chefs we work with are just that – friends. Many of the individuals you’ll meet are not in the business of ‘doing tours’. They are individuals who open their homes and stories to us because, like us, they are people people and want to share their journeys. We immerse ourselves in the local culture and community because, after all, we’re travelers, not tourists (just like you).

We act with ownership and partnership.
Our community is centered around respect and how we all come together to share.
TTLT – As your travel and cooking class hosts, we’ll help you create meaningful interactions and foster stronger connections.
Our partners – They’ll share, educate, and open their world to you through local – and oftentimes family – recipes.
You – All we ask is that you’re willing to get your hands dirty and be present with us, our chefs, and the individuals in your class.

We are explorers.
Italy, Peru, Malaysia, Japan, and beyond! We connect our community across continents in undiscovered private venues like dinner at our friend Marika’s home overlooking the Mediterranean coast, to learning how to cook family recipes in Costa Rica with Wendy via Zoom.

  1. I’m really enjoying the design and layout of your site. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a designer to create your theme? Fantastic work!
